Composite cutting inserts for machining are designed for machining hardened steels, cast iron, carbides, and non-ferrous metals and their alloys at high cutting speeds. These components are set into special insert holders. Their use is particularly recommended in difficult cutting conditions and where a high smoothness of the machined surface is required.
