The multi-grain layered aggregate dressing tool of the M2110 type is used in the profiling and dressing processes of abrasive wheels made of aluminum oxide and silicon carbide with ceramic bonds and with grain sizes ranging from 24 to 46. These wheels are commonly used in snagging grinders.
This dressing tool can also be used for dressing superhard abrasive wheels made of materials like diamond and borazon. However, doing so requires a significant reduction (approximately 5 times) in the longitudinal feed rate and dressing depth due to the hardness and abrasiveness of these superhard materials.
