The two-layer abrasive wheel of type VD5 is designed for sharpening the contact surfaces of carbide-tipped circular saw blade teeth on Vollmer Dornhan grinders of the types Finimat and Finimax.
Thanks to the two abrasive layers, with the outer layer having coarser grit and the inner layer having finer grit, it is possible to perform both rough and finishing grinding in a single operation. This significantly reduces processing time and extends the lifespan of the sharpened tool.
